Senior and Sub-Junior Competition

As some may be aware, SADNA were in discussion regarding moving few Sub-Junior teams to be playing on the Friday night competition to help with court space.

The Outcome (From SADNA):

Monday Night: 95 teams

8 team draws for Seniors which would include extra Byes. Then need to throw in 2 extra games during the season 1 on 19/12/17 and the 2^nd game on 22/1/18. This would still give the teams 12 games to play and 4 Byes during the season.

NO effect to the Intermediate grades who will still play at 7.00pm on Monday night.

Tuesday night:

Because we have 51 teams nominated for Sub-Juniors we will require 23 courts. The top sub-junior team will need to play at the 8.10pm time-slot.

No Sub-Junior teams will be playing Friday, all Sub-Juniors and Juniors will be playing on Tuesday nights.

This change effects 4 senior grades – A3, B1, B2 & B4.

The extra games will be played on the 19/12/17 and 22/1/18. Should be able to play all of these games at 7.00pm.

We will try to have the fixtures completed and available by the 4^th October, 2018. If we have any issues with this date we will notify clubs.

No change to Friday nights.

Bad Moms 2

Come down and view Bad Moms 2 with Tea Tree Gully Netball Club!

With the much anticipated release of Bad Moms 2 (MA). We have secured a private screening of the movie on Saturday 4th November at 6pm. (this will be the first weekend of its release)

This hilarious movie will be held at Salisbury Hoyts Cinema. Every Seat in every Cinema is Electronic Reclining seats…….. and Salisbury Hoyts has Bar (Ching Ching)!!!

You may have seen the trailer for this movie, it has had massive hype and will no doubt smash the box office numbers.

Tickets for this event are $12 (normally $13 on the Xtreme screen)

Wow, what a season!

Tea Tree Gully Netball Club would like to congratulate all of our members on participating this season! We’re so proud of all of our players and coaches with their development over the season.

Our club had a very successful season walking away with 9 premierships! Well done P3, B1, C1, C2, C3, J1, J2, J4, SJ4 on winning your grand finals and well done to our 4 runners up it is such an achievement to even make finals!

We’d also like to thank our umpires for all of their hard work and dedication over this season, without you the games wouldn’t go ahead!

Bring on Summer 17/18!

Preliminary Finals 26th-29th August 2017.

26th August:

P1: Court 11, 1:30. Won against Golden Grove, 22-16.

P2: Court 19, 1:30. Lost against Golden Grove 21-17

P3: Court 13, 1:30. Won against Golden Grove, 12-8

28th August:

A1: Court 1, 7:30. Won against Zodiacs, 53-49

Inter 2: Court 8, 7:30. Won against Golden Grove, 54-24

29th August:

SJ 2: Court 8, 7:30. Lost to Golden Grove, 33-28

This means that a whopping 9 teams have made it straight to the grand final! Well done P4, SJ4, J1, J2, J4, B1, C1, C2, C3.

This season we’ve had 15 teams make finals! What an awesome effort and achievement for all our girls and coaches. Teams have worked really hard all season, and we wish them the best of luck going in to finals. Bad luck to those who didn’t make finals, however winning isn’t everything and our club is extremely proud of the evident development amongst our girls.

Quiz Night 2017

Tea Tree Gully Netball Club held its 2nd Major Quiz Night on Saturday 5th August.

What a successful night! The club had over 67 Donors of various prizes for the event, including major basket prizes, silent auctions, vouchers and experiences. In total the club had 80+ raffle prizes, and 4 major silent auction prizes. We’d like to thank all of the teams from Winter 2017 for donating 1 basket each, as well as all of our sponsors and supporters. Without these generous donations we would not be able to run such great and fun events.

150+ people attended this event and the club made a large profit which will be going towards keeping our fee’s the lowest in the SADNA competition.

Also like to thank Damien Brooks for hosting and becoming a Quiz Master for the night!

Trials Summer 2017

What a successful Summer 2017 Trial day!

The first year Tea Tree Gully Netball Club has held trials in an indoor, heated/aircon venue (Burragah Recreation Centre) and what a success!

Thank you for the cooperation during this time, and understanding of the trialling process. Well done to all the girls who trialled, we look forward to seeing you all again once teams are announced at a later date. It is great to see so much talent coming out of our club!

Thank you and well done to the committee for setting up and organising trials, and good-luck to the grading committee who have a tough job ahead. Another thanks to Alan and Ash for cooking the BBQ. Thanks also to our wonderful umpires; Leanne Fleet, Keeley Fleet, Kate Maxted and Taya Britton and Kasey, Sarah, Amy and Rielee for helping where ever required. Great job to Helen and Gemma Burvill for assisting the grading committee in warm ups and positions.

Lastly, a major thank you to Lattitude for supporting our club and warming up the girls who had a blast!
